What an amazing night. Last Friday, we opened our new studio for the SF Design Week Studio Crawl, inviting the San Francisco design community to take a look at our space and chat about design challenges over drinks. We couldn’t be happier with the way the evening went.
There was a palpable air of excitement in the studio as we welcomed new acquaintances and old friends and colleagues alike. Dozens of designers — all from a diverse range of backgrounds — came through our doors and learned more about Narvar. I won’t lie. It was exciting getting a chance to see some of the sharpest, most creative minds in the industry explore our customer journey wall and client stories, and watching their reactions as they got an in-depth look at the complex world of post-purchase customer service. But more exciting was hearing about their backgrounds and the commonalities in our work. I loved the different perspectives each of our visitors brought to our space. Some of our visitors were familiar with our products. One designer shared with me his story of ordering glasses with Warby Parker and how, after noticing how sleek the confirmation email was, he’d scrolled down to see our name in the footer. Another visiting designer told me that she was inspired by our products, and we compared user journeys and in-app communication and messaging challenges.Others were hearing about us for the first time. I was inspired to meet some designers who were new to the Bay Area, and hearing how passionate they were to participate and shape the community they’d just joined. And the energy didn’t dissipate, either. Plenty of our guests stayed late into the evening with us. We watched the big game and cheered when the Golden State Warriors won. We played pool, ping pong, and got downright competitive over our favorite — cornhole. We chatted and caught up. And we ended the evening glad to be part of this amazing community.
If you were there, thank you for spending the evening with us. We were so glad to have you. Thank you for making our SF Design Week open studio so memorable! If you didn’t make it, we hope you’ll join us next year.---Feel as passionate about design as we do? Come work with us!
