It's part of the package.We take diversity and inclusion seriously here at Narvar and this year, our Life@Narvar team hosted a week of Pride celebrations in our San Francisco HQ to show our support for the LGBTQ+ community. The Life@ team strives to foster relationships, build empathy, and encourage communication in the workplace. Narvar Pride Week was a perfect opportunity to do just that.We kicked the week off with guest speaker Renata Moreira, Executive Director of Our Family Coalition. Our Family Coalition advances equity for LGBTQ+ families with children through support, education, and advocacy. Renata discussed diversity in the workplace and engaged the group in an interactive exercise to reflect on both our personal privileges and disadvantages.

The celebrations continued later in the week with a Pride Happy Hour: Music bumping. Rainbows galore. Pub quiz. DIY nacho bar. Cupcakes. Cookie decorating. And of course, a piñata! We tested our Pride trivia knowledge with topics ranging from gender identity definitions, historical Pride moments, and famous LGBTQ+ figures. Members of the winning team (appropriately named Rainbow Sprinkles) each had their chance to take a swing at the piñata. Candy for everyone!Pride Week at Narvar was a huge success. It was about much more than just creating a rainbow logo. It was an opportunity for us to bond, learn from one another, and show our commitment to advancing equality in the workplace. We learned ways to practice allyship every day to ensure we are creating an inclusive and welcoming environment for everyone. We're excited to make Narvar Pride Week an annual tradition!
